Morpho receives biometrics certification from Lenel Systems

Biometric Hand ScanMorpho announced on Tuesday that it has received factory-level certification for its biometrics from Lenel Systems International of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, an arm of United Technologies Corp.

With the certification Morpho joins the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program. Morpho’s biometric technology will interface with Lenel’s OnGuard access control through BioManager framework from Identity One.

“MorphoTrak has completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard,” Gidon Lissai, the director of strategic alliances at Lenel, said. “OnGuard customers can now benefit from the added security of Morpho biometric access readers. We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”

BioManager integrates Morpho’s fingerprint + vein fingerprint technology—rated No. 1 by the National Institute of Standards and Technology—and 3D face biometric technology with OnGuard.

The 3D Face Reader scans and analyzes the 3D structure of the user’s face, verifying identification in less than a second, and accurate matching is possible even in poor lighting conditions.
