Ingenico announced last week, along with local partner Etranet Group, the deployment of a point-of-sale solution for Hrvatski Telekom, a provider of telecommunication services in Croatia, in an effort to meet new requirements that aim to prevent tax evasion.
The solution combines Ingenico’s wireless and countertop payment terminals with a fiscal application developed by Etranet, an electronic payment transaction specialist in Croatia. The software allows tax information to be easily transmitted to tax authorities in the country.
“We are delighted to collaborate with Etranet Group to implement this all-in-one cash register solution in Croatia,” Jacques Behr, the executive vice president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Ingenico, said. “As a global leader in the payment industry, Ingenico is at the forefront of industry’s evolutions such as fiscal law enforcement. We believe that our innovative solutions are fully adapted to answer the needs of governments who are looking to avoid tax evasion in a secure and efficient manner.”
Mirela Seserko, the operating director of information and communication technologies business solutions at Hrvatski Telekom, said the Mini Fiscal Cash Register is one of the company’s most popular services.
