The Downing Planetarium was built in 1999 and has since become a popular destination in Fresno. It has a star theatre with a 30 foot dome that seats over seventy people. The planetarium uses this equipment to put on a number of different shows. One of the current shows is Destination Pluto. In this show visitors are taken on a journey from the sun to Pluto. Along the way you will discover the wonders of our solar system including moons, the different planets, comets and asteroids. Another show at the museum is Hubble Vision.
