TSYS announced on Tuesday that Walter Taylor has been named the group executive and chief procurement officer responsible for vendor and supplier management.
Before joining TSYS, Taylor served as the executive vice president of strategy at Genesis10, where he was responsible for strategy for IT staffing and consulting in the financial services industry. He also served as the COO of Pariter Solutions, a payment processing joint venture by Bank of America and Wells Fargo, and the senior vice president of Bank of America responsible for technology and procurement.
“Walter brings a tremendous depth of procurement, vendor and supplier management knowledge in the financial services industry to his new position at TSYS,” M. Troy Woods, the president and COO of TSYS, said. “Having worked with TSYS early in his career as a TS2 conversion project manager, we are pleased to welcome Walter back as a member of our senior leadership team and look forward to him further strengthening our procurement practices to support our growing global payments business.”
Taylor is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Mercer University. Previously, he served as an officer and a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. In his new role at TSYS, he will report to Paul Todd, the company’s new senior executive vice president and CFO.
