Heartland Payment Systems announced on Wednesday the hiring of Michael McMillan, an award-winning branding and marketing expert, as the company’s chief branding officer, where he will be responsible for branding and marketing initiatives.
“Heartland has climbed from a small business to a Fortune 1000 company based on its founding principles,” McMillan said. “The company is well-positioned to grow and I am excited to contribute to the team’s success as we empower business owners through honest relationships, products and services.”
McMillan served as CEO of McMillan Associates, a visual communications company he founded in 1984, for 20 years. He has toured the world as an inspirational speaker and headed McMillan Media, where he focused on consulting engagements related to creative thinking, innovation and positive changes.

He produced Michael Jordan’s new book “Rare Air” and is the author of several books, including “Paper Airplane: A Lesson for Flying Outside the Box,” “The Power of Teamwork” and “Pink Bat: Turning Problems Into Solutions.”
