Virtual Piggy, the provider of the Oink digital piggy bank for families and teens, announced on Thursday a partnership with international payment service provider GlobalCollect.
“GlobalCollect has built an extensive network of industry partners, and we’re thrilled to work with them to expand international processing acceptance and implementation of the Oink payment technology,” Jo Webber, the CEO and founder of Oink, said.
GlobalCollect’s clients include Levi’s, Sony BMG, Estee Lauder and Valve, and the company processes payments in more than 170 countries and 150 currencies. The company said the partnership will allow clients to reach younger markets, particularly the under-21 age group.
“We have many merchants worldwide who aim to reach the complex U21 market who shop across many different channels, and this technology combines the security and simplicity required to effectively do so,” GlobalCollect CFO Stephen Buechner said.
