Trent Walker joins Oink digital wallet provider as VP of key accounts

OinkPayments expert Trent Walker was recently appointed by Virtual Piggy, Inc., to serve as the vice president of key accounts within the company’s business development unit.

Virtual Piggy provides the digital wallet service Oink, which is geared at consumers under age 21. The wallet, which features parental controls for family access, is available online or through mobile devices.

“The award-winning Oink payment platform will revolutionize the teen payments landscape and give parents greater control over family finances,” Walker said. “I am very excited to join this innovative company and bring my experience in finance, payments and e-commerce to their business development team.”

Walker brings more than 10 years of experience in the payments and finance industry. A graduate of San Jose State University, Walker has spent the past six years in the financial services division at Arvato, a unit of Bertlesmann. Before joining Arvato, Walker served as the senior account director at First Franklin Financial and as the head of division and business development at PHH Mortgage.

“Oink is the first new consumer-facing payment solution in recent years and has been designed from the start to handle digital goods payments,” Oink Founder and CEO Jo Webber said. “Trent’s strong payments industry knowledge and experience will help us expand our commercial reach within the world’s largest providers of digital content.”
