RBS Citizens Financial announced on Tuesday a number of new Bank Better enhancements, including mobile banking, ATM and branch upgrades, for Citizens Bank and Charter One customers.
Citizens Bank and Charter One customers now have the option to participate in “paperless banking,” following the implementation of a digital teller system that allows customers to authenticate their identity with debit cards and to complete transactions without the need for paper slips.
The bank has also replaced more than 1,600 ATMs with new machines that extend the banking day for ATM deposits to 10 p.m. on business days.
Additionally, upgrades to the bank’s mobile banking apps will allow iPad users to download a compatible app, and current apps for iPhone and Android will now offer Popmoney and other bill-pay services previously only available through the bank’s online banking channel.
The new features follow other new features recently introduced by the company, including One Deposit Checking, $5 Overdraft Pass—protecting customers from overdraft fees for transactions totaling $5 or less, a new education refinance loan for private student loan borrowers and new checking account guides.
Headquartered in Rhode Island, RBS Citizens—through its Citizens Bank and RBS Citizens subsidiaries—has approximately 1,400 branches and more than 3,500 ATMs across 12 states.
