Oink partners with WorldPay U.S. to boost merchant acquisition in teen market

Piggy Bank GirlVirtual Piggy, the provider of youth payments technology Oink, announced last week a partnership with WorldPay U.S. to boost its 2014 merchant acquisition within the teen market.

WorldPay’s payment processing platform is used for debit and in-person transactions, as well as online and mobile payments. Oink’s partnership with WorldPay will integrate the youth payments technology with the WorldPay merchant network and facilitate introduction into teen-oriented retail shops and websites.

“Integrating Oink into our payment processing offerings is a great addition to the current services that WorldPay offers,” WorldPay President and CEO Tony Catalfano said. “We’re excited to work with Oink, bringing their COPPA-compliant solution to our clients worldwide and expanding their revenue opportunities within the teen market.”

Oink is the only COPPA-compliant payment technology aimed at allowing retailers and game publishers to reach under-21 consumers. The technology serves as a family wallet available via mobile or online.

“WorldPay is an excellent partner for Oink,” Oink Founder and CEO Jo Webber said. “Their expertise with in-person, online and mobile payments fits our strategy perfectly, and we’re excited to reach their merchant base with our safe youth transactions solution.”
