Money20/20 event, hackathon to be held in Las Vegas this fall

Money 2020The Money20/20 conference, which explores trends in payments and innovations within the financial services industry, will be held this fall in Las Vegas and will include participation by more than 2,250 companies.

The event, which will be held Nov. 2-6 at the ARIA Resort and Casino, will feature more than 300,000 square feet of showcasing and exhibition space.

Sponsors of the event include BitPay, Bank of America, First Data, American Express, Oberthur Technologies, ACI Worldwide, MoneyGram and dozens of other companies.

Confirmed speakers include the CEO of Isis, along with the heads of Discover, VeriFone, PayPal, Citi and Visa.

A Money20/20 Hackathon will be held from Oct. 31-Nov.2 just before the kick-off of the main event. Developers, designers and entrepreneurs will gather to compete in teams in developing financial technology applications using APIs, software development kits and tools from other major industry players. Sponsors of the hackathon include Chan.com, Mercury Payment Systems—a Vantiv company, ModoPayments, Blockchain.com and PayPal.
