Mercury Payment Systems was awarded last week bronze in customer service at the eighth annual Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service.
“It’s an incredible honor to be awarded bronze by the Stevie Awards for the daily achievements of our front-line customer service team,” Randy Clark, the senior vice president of marketing at Mercury, said. “Our team prides itself on helping local merchants run their point-of-sale and payment environments in an easy, reliable and secure way.”
The Stevie Awards organizes several business award shows around the world, including the International Business Awards and Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.
More than 1,500 nominations were evaluated for this year’s awards, up 36 percent from last year. Finalists were determined based on the average scores of 129 professionals acting as preliminary judges.
More than 100 members of several specialized judging committees determined winners of the gold, silver and bronze Stevie Awards. Final judging took place from Jan. 27-Feb. 5, and the final results were announced at a gala banquet on Feb. 21 in Las Vegas.
Mercury—a payments technology services provider for small- and medium-sized businesses—manages over 500,000 merchant and partner interactions every year. The company has a customer service staff of more than 100 people based in Colorado.
