Ingo Money appoints former AmEx, Visa executive Lisa McFarland to EVP, CMO

Ingo MoneyPayment processor Ingo Money announced on Monday the appointment of former Visa and American Express prepaid executive Lisa McFarland to the position of executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

In her position as EVP and CMO, McFarland will be responsible for product strategy and marketing for the Ingo Money Network and Ingo Enterprise Solutions business lines.

“Over the last several weeks we have expanded the Ingo Money executive leadership team to extend our collective skill sets and provide the level of management support needed to meet accelerating demand for our unique technology services,” Ingo Money Founder and CEO Drew Edwards said. “Lisa’s industry expertise provides a powerful dimension to our management team. Her experience in nurturing new payment products and technology solutions from the infancy stages into mature and successful business lines will be invaluable to Ingo Money and its mission to transform the payments industry for the benefit of consumers and financial services providers.”

During her recent tenure at Visa, McFarland served as the head of consumer prepaid products, where she developed products and strategies for its consumer prepaid group and provided consultation to leading prepaid card providers and financial institutions.

She was also responsible for providing consultation to prepaid providers and other entities with a focus on innovation to drive financial inclusion and accelerate growth. While at Visa McFarland oversaw a 309 percent growth increase in Visa’s prepaid business.

McFarland initially began her career at AmEx, where she served as vice president of prepaid card product management in AmEx’s global payment options division. She was responsible for leading a team dedicated to consumer product design and growing the company’s gift card business.
