GuestLogix signs agreement to provide Wideroe with onboard POS payments

GuestLogixGuestLogix announced last week an agreement with Wideroe, Scandinavia’s largest regional airline, to provide the airline with its onboard retail technology platform for the purchase of food and beverages.

“We are delighted that Wideroe has selected GuestLogix as their onboard retail partner,” GuestLogix President and CEO Brett Proud said. “Expanding our European footprint has been one of GuestLogix’s main objectives in 2013, and our commitment to building such a presence is demonstrated by this new customer addition. We look forward to assisting Wideroe in reaching a new level of onboard retail excellence as they expand their payment acceptance onboard.”

The GuestLogix solution includes POS handheld devices to enable secure and PCI-compliant transacting onboard. Wideroe aircraft will be equipped with the devices to accept credit card payments on all domestic and international flights.

Wideroe was named European Airline of the Year for 2012-2013 by the European Regions Airline Association. The airline operates over 400 flights each day and flies to 47 domestic and international locations.
