ETA to host Mobile Payments Day

ETAThe Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) recently announced it will host Mobile Payments Day at the end of the month in a joint venture with the Merchant Advisory Group and Federal Communications Bar Association.

Mobile Payments Day, which will be held on Sept. 30 at The City Club of Washington, will feature mobile payments companies, retailers and federal regulators to discuss policy issues related to the payments industry including cybersecurity, EMV migration and tokenization.

Participating companies will include Amazon, Mercury Payments, Walmart, Visa, First Data, AT&T, Intuit, Ahold USA and Verizon Enterprise Solutions, with scheduled closing remarks from FTC Commissioner Maureen Olhausen.

In addition to the policy program, the event will also include tech expo, where a number of companies will showcase their latest technological developments in mobile payments.
