ElectraCard Services recently announced a partnership with PT. Collega Inti Pratama, a provider of banking technology services in Indonesia, to replace Collega’s payment processing systems ECS’ electra solution suite.
Collega offers ATM, interbank and network switching, as well as card processing services, for banks throughout Indonesia. It has begun modernizing its technology to offer advanced services to its member banks.
The ECS platform will help Collega provide value-added services, including remittance, bill payments and ticket bookings, and scale to drive 5000 ATMs and process 10 million cards. Collega also plans to launch a number of new services, such as contactless payments, e-commerce and m-commerce acquiring, Islamic and conventional credit cards and loyalty solutions.
The electra solution is an SOA-based transaction processing platform that features a configurable message transformation engine to help facilitate integration with external systems.
“Given our ambitious growth plans, we wanted to upgrade our payments infrastructure to a more scalable and robust platform,” Collega President and Director Afrizel Aziz said. “As such, we wanted a stable solutions partner with a strong track record in proven reliability, ease of integration and volume scalability. ECS’s impressive solution stack with a very high demonstrated performance benchmark, their singular focus on the payments domain and a long-term vision made them the ideal choice for this partnership.”
ElectraCard Services, a subsidiary of Opus Software Solutions, provides processing services for electronic cards and payment systems worldwide.
“Indonesia is a mature and extremely competitive payments market,” ECS CEO Ramesh Mengawade said. “We are confident the electra suite will enable PT Collega to introduce innovative, market-leading solutions at competitive price points to further increase its market share.”
