Covera recently partnered with EFT Source to provide Card@Once, EFT’s patented instant issuance solution, to its credit union clients.
Covera’s CU clients will be able to provide members with fully functioning payment cards on-the-spot, and when new or replacement cards are requested, credit unions transfer data from the branch location to EFT Source, where the data is encrypted and sent back to the branch electronically, where a permanent card is printed.
“Over the years, our clients have increasingly sought an instant issuance solution that is effective and affordable,” Covera COO Kimberly Ploof said. “EFT Source’s Card@Once is a cost-effective, easy-to-use solution, enabling our credit unions to significantly strengthen member satisfaction while realizing benefits like a 30-percent cost savings over traditional instant issuance solutions.”
Over the past year, EFT Source has seen a 370 percent increase in the number of Card@Once printers across the country. The company also recently added a number of new features to help financial institutions migrate to the EMV standard.
“For more than 25 years, Covera has been committed to providing credit unions an impressive array of services, and we’re pleased that through this partnership, their clients will now have access to this member-enhancing service,” EFT Source President Bill Dinker said. “The adoption of instant issuance has grown much stronger due to the changes in technology over recent years. As a result, it is quickly becoming a necessity to maintain a competitive edge. We look forward to supporting Covera’s client base to help enhance member experience.”
