The second annual ATM & Mobile Innovation Summit will kick off this fall in Washington, D.C., bringing together regulators, ATM deployers, credit card processors, government officials and financial institutions to discuss the future of payments.
The event, which will be held Sept. 10-12 at the Capital Hilton near the White House, will begin with a session on bitcoin, ATMs and mobile payments.
The summit will be hosted by Networld Media Group–the publisher of ATM Marketplace and MobilePaymentsToday.com–and the Electronic Funds Transfer Association; it is sponsored by the ATM Industry Association and MagTek.
Bitcoin, a virtual currency independent of a central bank, has become increasingly popular among consumers as a way to purchase goods and services, and the payment method joins a growing number of available payment technologies.
Speakers from numerous companies, including Bitpay, U.S. Bank, MasterCard, PAI, JPMorgan and Crowdstrike, will meet with government agencies and regulators to discuss case studies of actual ATM and mobile integrations, the Durbin interchange fee debate, payment security and data breaches, interagency regulation and EMV migration outside of the U.S.
Registration can be completed by visiting the event website.
