ACI Worldwide announced last week that independent research firm Ovum recognized the company in its new report on software solutions for payment switching.
Ovum said in its report that financial institutions and processors are seeking “partners that excel in application development, have implementation expertise and provide a robust set of capabilities” to help them remain competitive and to comply with regulations.
“ACI’s BASE24-eps and Postilion platforms both offer a high degree of reliability and crucially, configurability,” Gilles Ubaghs, a senior analyst in financial services technology at Ovum, said. “This makes these platforms both more flexible to new payment innovations and more adaptable to a rapidly shifting payments landscape.”
Ovum said the retail banking solution scored highly across nearly all subcategories. It also noted that ACI’s Postilion is “well-placed to expand its functional features through the added resources of ACI’s extensive R&D activities and wider support services.”
“Customers have benefited from using our retail payment solutions to get to market faster, increase revenues, improve compliance and enhance overall payments productivity, and Ovum’s ranking is testament to that,” Jeff Hale, the senior vice president of retail payments at ACI Worldwide, said. “We are honored to have both BASE24-eps and Postilion recognized as leaders. This shows we are providing customers with functionally rich, flexible and scalable solutions to meet their payment processing needs.”
