TSYS will continue to process Nationwide’s U.K. consumer card portfolio and support its central operations. Nationwide has used TS2, TSYS’ outsourced payments processing solution, since 2008.
Nationwide has more than 2 million cardholders and was awarded “Best Achievement in Customer Service” at The Card & Payments Awards earlier this year for its “Listening to Customers Campaign.”
“Nationwide continues to enjoy the flexibility and power of the TS2 solution, which has enabled us to grow our business whilst still maintaining the high standard of service our customers expect,” Adam Slater, the senior manager of credit cards at Nationwide, said. “Our proposition to customers is different from many other credit card providers, so having the support of TSYS, who have similar values, helps us differentiate ourselves in the market.”
TSYS Executive Vice President Kelley Knutson said retaining Nationwide as a client allows the company to bolster its market position.
