Payment processing company TSYS announced on Wednesday the election of two new members—William M. Isaac and Connie D. McDaniel—to its board, bringing the total number of directors to 15.
Isaac is the senior managing director and global head of financial institutions at FTI Consulting and a former chairman of the FDIC. Before joining FTI, he founded Secura Group, a consulting firm that was eventually acquired by LECG and later by FTI.
During his tenure as FDIC chairman, Isaac served under Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan from 1978 to 1985 and led the FDIC during the banking crisis in the 1980s. He currently serves as the chairman of Fifth Third Bancorp’s Board of Directors.
McDaniel is a former senior executive at The Coca-Cola Co. and Ernst & Young. She has expertise in accounting, finance, governance and risk management. She currently serves on the board of directors for Ridgeworth Funds in Georgia, where she chairs the audit committee.
“We are excited and honored to announce that Bill and Connie have agreed to become the newest members of our board of directors,” TSYS Chairman and CEO Philip W. Tomlinson said. “Both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our company that will be extremely valuable as we continue to grow and expand our role in the ever-changing payments industry.”
