California-based Priority One Credit Union announced recently that it will sponsor Dave Ramsey’s “Foundations in Personal Finance” curriculum for students at South Pasadena High School.
“Because our staff members learned new things that helped them make significant changes in their personal finances as working adults through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class, we have always been on the lookout for some way to make this same kind of information more widely available to our membership, and especially to young people,” Priority One Director of Employee Services Robert West said.
Foundations in Personal Finance was launched to educate students on sound financial practices and habits to help them avoid financial difficulties as adults. Ramsey tailored the lessons found in his best-selling books to make the information easy to understand.
The class is available on DVD and is taught by Ramsey and his daughter, Rachel Cruze. The curriculum meets JumpStart national standards, as well as benchmarks in all 50 states, and has been taught in over 10,000 educational institutions.
