Penn Liberty Bank’s mobile check deposit service now available to consumers

Penn Liberty BankPenn Liberty Bank announced this week that its mobile check deposit service is now available for purchase for both iOS and Android mobile devices.

The Deposit Ease with Mobile service allows consumers to deposit paper checks electronically using their mobile devices. Users are also able to view their accounts and transaction history, which includes images of previously deposited checks, as well as to make transfers and contact the bank.

“We know that many consumer and small business clients visit the branch only to deposit paper checks,” Penn Liberty Bank Chairman and CEO Patrick J. Ward said. “Now they have another option that helps free up time and alleviate multiple trips to the bank.”

The mobile deposit service is free to bank customers. Clients are required to sign up through Penn Liberty’s internet banking service for mobile banking and mobile check deposit, then download the respective app for their mobile device.

“We are excited to continue to offer the latest technology and convenience to our customers,” David K. Griest, the bank’s executive vice president and chief information officer, said.  “This new service paves the way for additional enhancements in our product development strategy.”
