The National Association of Federal Credit Unions Board kicked off its election cycle on Tuesday, calling for applications for potential nominees to the 2014 board.
Four seats, including two at-large seats and two regional seats, will be directly affected by this year’s elections. At-Large Director Daniel Weickenand of Tennessee-based Orion FCU, Regional Director Jeanne Kucey of JetStream FCU in Florida and Regional Director Rod Taylor of Barksdale FCU in Louisiana intend to run.
Taylor will run for an at-large position, leaving his regional position vacant, as a result of regional realignment by the National Credit Union Administration. At-Large Director Mike Lussier will complete his third three-year term, the maximum allowable board term.
Applications for inclusion on the Nominating Committee’s list of board candidates are due to Lussier by Feb. 10. The committee will mail ballots to NAFCU members in March 17, and completed ballots will be due by March 31.
