MasterCard’s Simplify Commerce enables merchant acceptance of mobile payments

220px-MasterCard_Logo.svgMasterCard recently announced the launch of Simplify Commerce, a new product that allows merchants to accept mobile and e-commerce payments regardless of brand.

Simplify Commerce offers application programming interfaces and software developing kits in a number of programming languages, including Ruby, PHP, Python and Java, to facilitate developers’ support of merchants.

“As a technology company with a strong history of payments experience, MasterCard is always looking for ways to empower merchants to grow their businesses,” Garry Lyons, MasterCard’s chief innovation officer, said. “We recognize the value that electronic payments bring to merchants, both large and small. By offering straightforward integration tools to developers and streamlining the process for businesses to get a merchant account, Simplify Commerce makes it easy for merchants to deliver online and mobile payments experiences to their customers.”
