MasterCard announced on Wednesday the first group of European startups that will participate in the company’s Start Path accelerator class to help early-stage companies address business challenges.
The group of seven includes Instabank, MePin, MoQom, Ridango, STOREE, Xpreso and ZenCard. All of the participants were selected as part of a search process that received applications from more than 30 countries.
Each startup will work with MasterCard over the course of a year, four months of which will be spent on site in Dublin and eight of which will be spent in a virtual capacity.
“The opportunity to work closely with each of our Start Path startups that are experimenting with the next generation of commerce solutions is really exciting,” Stephane Wyper, the MasterCard Start Path global lead, said. “We’re looking forward to rolling up our sleeves with the companies to tackle immediate challenges as they scale their business by connecting them directly with subject matter experts from across MasterCard and the global partners we work with.”
