Mahindra Comviva announced last week the launch of its payPLUS solution, which enables merchants, businesses and service professionals to convert their mobile device into a point-of-sale device and accept payments anywhere.
The solution, which is powered by Mahindra’s mobiquity platform, provides an app and mini-card reader to accept secure payments. The service also offers cloud technology to provide a number of services to support growing businesses.
“We are excited to launch payPLUS with a clear objective of helping merchants improve customer service and store productivity tremendously,” Srinivas Nidugondi, the head of mobile financial solutions at Mahindra, said. “We have built this solution for retail chains, insurance sector, supermarkets, restaurants and any business that has mobility as a driver for retail sales. With the growth of cashless transactions globally, this solution would contribute in accelerating the shift towards cashless economy.”
Other features of the solution include built-in security to protect customers’ information, customizable cash register capabilities to support billing and transaction activities and merchant self-care and support options.
