JPMorgan Chase announced earlier this week that Kristin Lemkau will become chief marketing officer for the bank, where she will oversee brand strategy, advertising, sponsorships and market research.
“Kristin has had leadership roles in both the J.P. Morgan and Chase businesses,” JPMorgan Consumer and Community Banking CEO Gordon Smith said. “She has a deep understanding of our brands and products, and strong relationships with the business CEOs and marketers across the firm. She’s an outstanding choice to be our CMO.”
Lemkau has been employed with JPMorgan Chase and its predecessor firms since 1998, and since 2010, she has served as the company’s chief communications officer. Last year, she was given added responsibility for corporate brand and employer brand.
From 2005 to 2010, she served as the CMO and head of communications for the investment bank. She has also held senior positions in media relations and internal communications.
Lemkau—a graduate of Vanderbilt University—also serves on the board of non-profit organization Sandy Hook Promise.
