Payment solutions provider Ingenico announced on Tuesday that the opening of a new branch in Casblanca, Morocco, is part of the company’s plan to expand its reach and strengthen its foothold in Africa.
“If Ingenico has been delivering innovative payment solutions to African customers for several years already, this new office will allow us to more effectively meet their needs,” Rachid Oulad Akdim, the managing director of Ingenico’s Africa division and the new head of the Casablanca office, said. “Our Moroccan office, that will play the role of gateway to the rest of Africa, will enable us to better serve them and refine our knowledge of the numerous local markets.”
The company’s expansion of its presence in Africa is part of a strategy to build its relationship with customers and partners to optimize its level of service.
“We are proud to expand our geographic footprint across the African continent, and thus provide secure, innovative and high quality payment solutions to our clients in Africa,” Jacques Behr, the executive vice president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Ingenico, said. “Expanding our position clearly demonstrates our commitment to boost our business in the region as we believe that Africa is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing regions in the world.”
