Heartland Payment Systems was recently ranked third among Selling Power’s top 50 companies to sell for, marking the sixth consecutive year the company has received a top-five distinction.
The list is now in its 13th year, and it evaluates firms based on their sales compensation packages, sales culture, onboarding and enablement strategies, training and coaching, annual turnover and revenue and growth.
“Being named one of the best companies to sell for six years in a row is an honor for our entire company, and above all, a tribute to our unique entrepreneurial sales model that enables our relationship managers to build professionally and financially rewarding careers, not just earn an income,” Heartland Chairman and CEO Bob Carr said. “It all comes down to empowering sales professionals with the tools they need to realize long-term success and career growth, from award-winning sales tools to ongoing mentorship from managers, and allowing them to take ownership in their portfolios with one of the most attractive compensation plans in the industry.”
Sales professionals earn a residual and equity piece of account revenue brought to the company for the life of the customer relationship, even if the employee leaves the company. Heartland also offers sales employees the option to buy him or her out with a one-time payment.
