GuestLogix, a global retail and payment technology solutions provider in the passenger travel industry, recently announced a partnership with Cathay Pacific and Dragonair through its channel partner Inflight Sales Group Hong Kong.
The company will deploy its onboard retail technology platform, which includes point-of-sale handheld devices, to manage Cathay Pacific and Dragonair’s onboard retail operations. The technology is used onboard Hong Kong Airlines, Jet Airways and Hong Kong Express.
“This new agreement with Cathay Pacific and Dragonair is the beginning of a tremendous shift for GuestLogix in Asia Pacific,” GuestLogix President and CEO Brett Proud said. “Cathay is a brand that is a real pacesetter in the region and is often recognized for its best-in-class onboard experience. Many other large carriers model their onboard operations after Cathay Pacific. And with the addition of Dragonair in this implementation, we have our first large-scale payment processing activity in mainland China.”
Both Cathay Pacific and Dragonair will be able to accept major credit cards for onboard duty-free purchases on flights to nearly 80 destinations in 29 countries. GuestLogix’s OnTouch Analytics platform will allow the airlines to improve customer service and enhance onboard performance.
“We are thrilled that our focused efforts to penetrate the Asia Pacific region have come to fruition with this major customer win,” Ilia Kostov, the executive vice president of global sales at GuestLogix, said. “This agreement marks an exciting day for GuestLogix as we prepare to deploy our technology onboard one of the most premium brands in the global airline industry. With continued dedication and a strengthened partnership with ISG, we are primed for further expansion within the opportunistic Asia Pacific region.”
