Florida’s Keys Federal Credit Union recently kicked off its refinance-for-charity community challenge, which will run through March 31.
Keys FCU will donate $5,000 to four local charities, including the Boys & Girls Club of the Keys Area, The Monroe Association for ReMARCable Citizens, Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of the Florida Keys and The Florida Keys SPCA, after customers who refinance see $500,000 in interest and fee savings.
“We are very excited to launch our first annual Community Challenge,” Keys FCU President and CEO Scott Duszynski said. “Our community is a very important part of our success and we wanted to give back to those in need. This is a great opportunity to help our members save money, reduce debt and contribute to local charities at the same time. Community members can bring us their loans, mortgages and credit cards from other financial institutions and work with our loan officers to refinance them and save money.”
The community can vote for the charity they want to receive the largest donation by going to KeystoSaving.org. Donations will be given in the amount of $2,500 for first place, $1,500 for second place and $1,000 for third place.
