Fifth Third Bank provides $7.6 billion in credit to business customers during first quarter

180px-Fifth_Third_Bank.svgFifth Third Bank announced last week it provided over $7.6 billion in new and renewed credit to its business customers during the first quarter of the year.

“We are focused on listening to our customers to understand their businesses and changing needs,” John Bultema, the executive vice president and head of business banking at Fifth Third, said. “Fifth Third works closely with customers to provide credit and financing services to fit their business strategy and help them expand and generate jobs.”

Fifth Third provided loans to Tennessee-based behavioral health system Acadia Healthcare, Florida-based heating and air conditioning firm CGM Services and Georgia-based technology consulting firm Omnipoint.

“Fifth Third believes businesses, both large and small, play a key role in our continued economic recovery,” Greg Kosch, the executive vice president and head of commercial banking at Fifth Third, said. “We are committed to helping these clients improve their access to working capital and achieve their long-term business goals.”

Fifth Third is headquartered in Ohio and has $121 billion in assets. It operates 18 affiliates with more than 1,300 full-service bank branches and more than 2,400 ATMs across 12 states.
