Topics planned for the Thursday meeting include a staff update on the FDIC’s community bank initiatives and discussion on payment system developments and implications, as well as information technology examination issues.

Additionally, senior staff from the FDIC’s risk management supervision and depositor and consumer protection departments will update the committee on policy issues.

Established in May 2009, the community banking advisory committee provides input and discussion to the FDIC on a number of topics related to community banking, including deposit insurance assessments, insurance coverage, regulatory compliance, credit and lending practices and current examination policies.
