The Center for Responsible Lending and “American Banker” will sponsor the ninth annual EMERGE: The Forum on Consumer Financial Services Innovation from June 4-6 in Los Angeles.
The event, which brings together experts and representatives from various sectors in the financial services industry, features technologies aimed at improving the lives of consumers, as well as roundtable and panel discussions.
Keynote speakers at this year’s event will include Dan Schulman, the president of enterprise growth at American Express; Eldar Shafir, a psychology and public affairs professor at Princeton University; and Lisa Servon, an urban policy professor at The New School.
Other participants expected to speak at the event will include Emerge Financial Wellness CEO Mario Avila; Ray Boshara, the director of the Center for Household Financial Stability at the St. Louis Federal Reserve; Lauren Saunders, the associate director of the National Consumer Law Center; and Regions Bank Senior Vice President Alison Holt.
Topics covered at the forum will include strategies for small business financing, approaches to empowering subprime consumers, nonbank financial services, prepaid and other debit alternatives and promoting financial health.
