100px-Deutsche_Bank_logo_without_wordmark.svgDeutsche Bank announced on Tuesday Don Birchenough, the co-head of Americas technology, media and telecom at Credit Suisse, would join the bank as the new managing director and head of Americas media, acquisitions and telecom mergers.

“These changes reflect our continued commitment to promote from within and selectively hire from the market to develop industry-leading teams,” Tony Whittemore, the co-head of M&A Americas at Deutsche Bank, said.

The bank also announced the formation of a technology, media and telecom—or TMT—group within its investment banking coverage and advisory business, known as IBC&A. Chris Colpitts and Gavin Dean were also promoted to the position of global co-heads of TMT investment banking coverage.

“The creation of a unified and coordinated TMT group is a natural step for these businesses that operate in close partnership and can offer our clients interconnected business opportunities,” John Eydenberg, the co-head of Americas IBC&A at Deutsche Bank, said.
