Citi Retail Services announced last week an extension of its 22-year-old partnership with Staples, the world’s largest office products firm and second largest internet retailer.
“We are proud to collaborate with the Staples team on their strategic growth opportunities and to pursue them aggressively together,” Leslie McNamara, the executive vice president of partner management at Citi Retail Services, said. “Staples’ strategy of providing customers with valuable products and services while deepening and enriching their customer relationships aligns perfectly with our own client and customer philosophy.”
Under the terms of the agreement, Citi will continue to provide processing and customer service for all of Staples’ private label credit card programs, including the Staples Business Credit Account with revolving terms, Staples Commercial Billing Account with net pay terms and Staples Personal Credit Account—all of which carry no annual fees.
“In the spirit of innovation, we also look forward to deepening our relationship with Staples with our comprehensive, service-enhancing solutions and analytics,” McNamara said.
