Citi Cards stacks its marketing and network teams

Citi Cards announced a wave of new appointments to its marketing and strategy divisions, including selecting Leslie Gillin as head of sales and marketing.

In addition, Valerie Greer has been appointed to head of partnerships and Barry Rodrigues was chosen to be head of network strategy and management.

"Accelerating our acquisition marketing and network strategy, and deepening co-brand partnerships are key to our continued success,” Jud Linville, the CEO of Citi Cards, said. “Leslie, Valerie and Barry bring deep payments expertise and relationships, global perspective and the proven ability to drive growth, and I am confident that their leadership will complement our teams.”

Gillin and Rodrigues will report to Linville and Greer will report to Terry O’Neil, head of the affluent segment and partner management.

Gillin served in senior executive marketing roles at Bank of America in both the United State and overseas prior to joining Citi. Rodrigues has global experience as American Express’ former president of global network services. Greer held numerous executive roles at JPMorgan Chase, including serving as its general manager for partnerships.

Gillin has the task of driving the development of Citi Card’s marketing and customer growth strategies and execution across all channels. She will work closely with the products teams and global marketing organization.

Rodrigues will oversee relationships with all global network partners, including MasterCard, Visa and American Express.

Greer is now responsible for strengthening key partnership portfolios for the cards franchise and providing overall strategic direction for these relationships.
