CardReady International launches new line of wireless transaction services

CardReadyPayment processing solutions firm Cardready International recently announced the launch of a new line of wireless transaction services for merchants.

A 2009 report from the American Bankers Association estimated that 10,000 payment card transactions are made globally every second. Though wireless transaction processing used to be a tedious process, with wait times of 20 seconds or more per order, wireless technology has improved the process.

Cardready clients are now able to carry mobile wireless terminals and pay lower rates for swipe versus key transactions, receiving approval in just a few seconds.

“It’s hard to imagine now, but for years many merchants did not have a safe, secure and cost effective way to accept credit cards,” Jim Berland, the founder and president of Cardready, said.

Data from the Intuit Small Business survey found 55 percent of America’s 27 million small businesses do not accept credit cards, and approximately 15 million small businesses forego a potential $100 billion in sales every year, leading to yearly losses of $7,000 per business.

“Cardready International already offers advanced software solutions and terminal configurations for every size business and can easily integrate point-of-sale systems already in use, or provide new systems, but today we are very excited to improve upon our already impressive portfolio of wireless transaction solutions with a suite of new wireless processing service solutions for business,” Berland said.
