BitPay, a provider of business solutions for bitcoin currency, recently announced plans to relocate its headquarters from Atlanta, Ga., to Amsterdam’s Herengracht 458, the former complex of Deutsche Bank and other numerous financial companies, in Europe.
“In the very place where bankers decided to charge small businesses the highest transaction fees, we will work to offer all businesses a payment option without transaction fees,” the company said in a blog post on Sunday.
As part of the office expansion, a dedicated bitcoin workspace has also been included to allow the company to connect with the community.
“We’ve come a long way from our first space in Atlanta—a small office shared by our two co-founders in the Atlanta Tech Village,” the company said. “We thank our amazing customers and partners for giving us the opportunity to grow and create a world without fees.”
