Dan Schulman, the president of enterprise growth at American Express, will serve as the keynote speaker at Emerge: The Forum on Consumer Financial Services Innovation in June.
The forum, which will be held from June 4-6 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, focuses on innovations designed to bring the underbanked into the financial services network. It is presented by American Banker and the Center for Financial Services Innovation.
Schulman is a past winner of the New Jersey Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, which recognizes executives’ efforts in community improvement and business excellence. He has also been named one of the top 25 most powerful individuals in the global wireless industry by Fierce Wireless.
In his role at AmEx, Schulman is responsible for global strategy aimed at leveraging emerging technologies to reach new customers and markets—including expanding the credit card company’s alternative mobile and online payment services.
Tracks to be included at the forum include borrowing, spending, saving and investing and consumer input. Topics include building bitcoin infrastructure, auto loans for subprime consumers, and managing education financing, among others.
The forum will conclude with closing remarks from CFSI President and CEO Jennifer Tescher.
