“ABIA’s board and members are thrilled to add Deanne’s talent and leadership to the association,” Neal Aton, the president and chairman of the ABIA and the head of centralized insurance for Wells Fargo, said. “Deanne’s extensive background in insurance and financial policy, paired with her experience at both ABA and ABIA, make her well-positioned to continue ABIA’s role as the leading voice for banks in insurance.”
Marino has served for the past four years as a senior writer for the ABA producing testimonies, preparing witnesses for congressional hearings and leading teams in the production of issue briefs for the heads of the largest banks participating in the Federal Advisory Council.
Before coming to the ABA, Marino worked as a policy analyst for the ABIA, representing the ABA in policy meetings, creating lobbying pieces and managing council meetings and events.
“Throughout Deanne’s tenure with ABA and ABIA, she has developed informational resources and products that are widely used by both memberships,” Paul Katz, the ABA’s executive vice president responsible for managing the ABIA, said. “Her strategic communications experience will be invaluable when collaborating on our bank insurance advocacy agenda with Kevin McKechnie, ABA senior vice president for the office of insurance advocacy.”
Before joining the ABIA, Marino worked as a benefits consultant for 125Company, Inc., where she designed and implementing health insurance and health savings accounts plans for small businesses and other organizations.
