The Electronic Transactions Association announced last week the addition of the Operation Choke Point Boot Camp, a new educational program for its TRANSACT 14 conference that provides risk and fraud guidelines for payments industry participants.
The new educational sessions will provide merchants, processors, financial institutions and other industry stakeholders with information to prevent targeting by law enforcement.
Law enforcement agencies invited to speak at the conference include the FTC, Department of Justice, CFPB, FDIC, OCC and New York Department of Financial Regulation. The boot camp will be free to conference attendees and provides a look at compliance in the new regulatory environment.
The conference, which will be held from April 8-10 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, will feature three full days of programming, including eight different conference tracks. Approximately 4,000 attendees from 1,000 global companies from 24 countries are expected to join the conference.
Registration is open and can be accessed through ETA’s website.
