Acculynk payment gateway and processing solution PayLeap announced on Tuesday an agreement with e-commerce platform Ecwid to provide its merchants with the ability to accept payments through the PayLeap gateway.
“Small- and medium-sized merchants need payment flexibility, and PayLeap’s PIN-based debit card payment plan provides an additional, innovative option, while making the process quick and easy,” Ecwid President Jim O’Hara said. “Further, PayLeap gives our merchants peace of mind through enhanced security measures and lower processing costs.”
The PayLeap solution allows merchants to accept e-payments or other payments where the credit card is not present at the point of sale. It is the only payment gateway to offer Acculynk’s PIN debit, which shifts liability for chargebacks from the merchant to the card issuer, to small and mid-market merchants online.
“We’re very excited to be working with Ecwid by providing unique value for Ecwid merchants,” PayLeap General Manager John Chandy said. “PayLeap allows merchants to accept U.S.- and international-based PIN debit cards and ATM-only debit cards on their websites in addition to traditional credit and debit cards. Merchants love PIN because it lowers their fraud risk and transaction processing costs, and customers love the convenience and security of PIN debit online.”
Acculynk’s PaySecure uses a graphical PIN pad to allow for the secure entry of a PIN. The company has partnerships with 11 EFT networks and six processors to process PaySecure transactions. It is also certified by PULSE, First Data and MasterCard.
