JetPay announced on Thursday that payment executive Ralph A. Bianco has joined the company as the executive vice president and general manager of card services, where he will lead the company’s prepaid card launch.
Bianco is the former COO of Adaptive Payments, where he led product development and management, as well as business operations. Before joining Adaptive, Bianco served as the general manager of prepaid for U.S. Bancorp.
Additionally, Bianco worked at Genpass in various product development positions for company founder Bipin C. Shah, who is now the chairman and CEO of JetPay. He has also worked at MasterCard International as the senior vice president of global product management and development.
“I am very pleased Ralph has agreed to bring his considerable talents to JetPay,” Shah said. “Developing low-cost, financial services products for our business customers and, particularly, for the benefit of their employees is a goal I have had for many years. Ralph shares my enthusiasm for prepaid card products and their usefulness for consumers, so I know our product will be both good for the company and, most importantly, good for cardholders. Ralph is thorough, is a visionary, and will work with me to deliver a world class suite of prepaid products that are uniquely positioned to meet the needs of consumers with or without bank accounts.”
JetPay’s prepaid division seeks to target consumers, especially those with limited access to financial services, who need a secure way to shop and budget. The company will announce its first products later this month.
