Manchester United Football Club and U.K. credit card specialist MBNA recently launched a series of limited edition credit cards to commemorate the extension of their partnership into 2016.
Applicants can choose from four specially commissioned designs including: the “Champions 2013” logo to celebrate Manchester United’s 20th league title win, the soccer club’s Old Trafford stadium and “Holy Trinity” statute of club icons, Ryan Giggs’ famous FA Cup goal celebration against Arsenal in 1999 and a legends design featuring images of club icons throughout the years.
Manchester United and MBNA extended their relationship of 15 years for another three years.
The new card offers eligible customers zero percent interest for 20 months on balance transfers and money transfers, as well as three months of zero percent interest on purchases.
Additionally, the card features Red Rewards, a number of benefits and incentives designed specifically for Manchester United Fans. For every $80 spent on the card, the cardholder is also entered for a chance to win signed club memorabilia and to watch the first team train.
“MBNA is one of the UK’s largest and most well-known credit card providers and the club is delighted to be extending its successful 15 year partnership for a further three years,” Richard Arnold, Manchester United Group’s managing director, said. “We have eight million followers in the UK and the new MBNA Manchester United Credit Card will give these fans a new way of showing their support, whilst taking advantage of the attractive incentives and rates MBNA has to offer.”
