Citi launches redesigned Citi Mobile app for banking, credit card customers

CitiCiti launched on Monday its redesigned Citi Mobile app for iPhone and Android devices, which is designed to help U.S. banking and credit card customers more easily manage their account.

The U.S. launch includes a beta test of Citi Mobile Snapshot, a feature that allows customers to check their deposit and credit card balances without having to log in. Citi is the first major bank in the U.S. to offer the feature, which will be offered to all U.S. customers later in the year.

“At Citi we want our customers to have remarkable experiences in every way they interact with us and manage their accounts,” Melissa Stevens, the managing director of Citi’s internet and mobile division, said. “Citi Mobile is a vital and growing channel for our customers, so we have reimagined what mobile banking looks like and produced a new app that is designed specifically for how people bank on their phones.”

The new app was redesigned specifically for a mobile interface. Customers will have access to streamlined payment and transfer features, including Mobile Check Deposit and Popmoney personal payment service.

Additionally, the new app features push notifications that detail account-specific information and expanded transaction search capabilities.
