Wells Fargo announced last week that, in celebration of America Saves Week, it will offer three free financial education webinars on home-buying, budgeting and saving and credit aimed at military members, veterans and their families.
America Saves Week, an annual campaign that involves more than 1,000 nonprofit and government groups encouraging the public to save money and build personal wealth, will be Feb. 24-March 1 this year.
“At Wells Fargo, helping veterans, military servicemembers and their families succeed financially is a key priority for us and that includes offering financial education,” Jerry Quinn, the military affairs program manager at Wells Fargo, said. “We are excited to work with our Military Mortgage Express group to offer these webinars during Military Saves Week.”
The first webinar on home-buying will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. CST, followed by a credit webinar on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. CST and a budgeting webinar on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. CST.
Advanced registration is required. Interested parties should visit the Wells Fargo RSVP site for details.
In 2012, Wells Fargo pledged $35 million in support for its military affairs program, which was designed to help members of the military, veterans and servicemember families by providing financial education, career transitioning and housing assistance.
Last year, Wells Fargo launched its Hands on Banking program for military members to address financial education challenges. The award-winning program offers 10 different lessons ranging from banking basics to saving for retirement.
